I don't read as much as I probably should, but below are some books that I've really gotten into. The first and best one is The Bible. The New Living translation reads like a normal book with out all the "thou," thine," and weird sentence structures that used to ruin it for me. It's the best selling book of all time and is still word for word accurate with ancient manuscripts (among others the dead sea scrolls from 1000 BC). They call it "The Good Book" for good reason. "The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of God stands forever." Isaiah 40:8 The rest here are books of apologetics, meaning books that defend Christianity as being real and true. I used to be a major skeptic (being a scientific & anylitacal thinker), but after digging into the facts it became obvious to me that it's all real (aside from my personal experiences with God). So, check these books out and surely you won't regret it...

New Believer's Bible
  New Believer's Bible (New Living Translation), Greg Laurie General Editor

Here's a great easy reading bible written in modern English; It also includes the basics of Christianity.
 
More than a Carpenter
  More than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell

This quick reading book showing why it's more than just believable that Jesus Christ is truly the savior.
 
The Case for Christ
  The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

Author Lee Strobelis a legal journalist (and staunch atheist) who, after much investigation, finds so much evidence for Jesus being the son of God that he ends up a believer himself.
 
The Case for Faith
  The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel

The follow up to The Case for Christ, Strobel investigates the hard questions and finds more reasons to overcome doubts and believe.
 
Letters from a Skeptic
  Letters from a Skeptic by Dr. Gregory A. Boyd and Edward K. Boyd

This book is a correspondence between father and son where virtually every skeptic's questions are discussed resulting in the skeptic becoming a believer!
 
New Answers
  The Revised & Expanded Answers Book by Ken Ham, Jonathan Sarfati, and Carl Weiland

Here's an awesome straight shooting book on creation, evolution, and the book of genesis. Scientific study and reason in this book make it clear that God created all things good.
 
Wild at Heart
  Wild at Heart by John Eldredge

This is an awesome book about being a man as God intended and not a pansy-boy.
 
The Shack
  The Shack by William Young

Here we have a fascinating adventure story that reads super quick. It's all allegory and has beautiful theology woven in through out.
